Walsall were back in Sky Bet League Two action on Tuesday evening as they took on Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.
The opening goal of the game didn't arrive until shortly after the hour mark, when on-loan Spurs midfielder Yusuf Akhamrich slotted the ball home.
The Gas also scored the second of the contest when Kofi Balmer volleyed home from the edge of the Walsall area just three minutes later.
