A statement, published via the club's official website, confirms: A match official appointed by the EFL carried out a pitch inspection at 11.30am this morning to assess the playing surface, and after much deliberation, the decision was made to postpone the fixture.
With snowfall and below-freezing temperatures expected, the pitch covers were put in place shortly after Monday's fixture against Oldham Athletic, but with overnight temperatures dropping below freezing once again, it was deemed that the pitch would not be playable in time for tomorrow's scheduled kick-off.
