Walsall boss Mat Sadler has admitted his team struggled to compete after being on the wrong end of a 5-1 drubbing in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Making their way to Carrow Road, the Saddlers took on Championship strugglers Norwich City in front of the discovery+ cameras, but it was far from pleasant viewing.
Falling behind to a Matej Jurásek goal fifteen minutes into the first-half, the Saddlers went on to concede three more as Jovon Makama was simply unstoppable, scoring three in just over thirty minutes of play.
Courtney Clarke came off the bench and scored the goal of the game, but the buzz was soon dampened as Tony Springett would add a fifth for the Canaries in second-half stoppage time.
Speaking to the assembled media shortly after full-time, Sadler said: "Their striker was amazing on the day, and he was too hot for us to handle.
"When you come here away to a Championship team, you've got to have that little bit of fortune go your way, and we didn't get that.
"I thought we started the game quite brightly, but just a few punches on the nose and a couple of mistakes later, then you're two-nil down.
"That made it really tough for us. At that point, you're trying to get some sort of pressure on the ball, but as soon as we did, we were getting played round."
