Walsall boss Mat Sadler praised his team for producing a 'solid League Two win' as they ended a run of four successive defeats with a 3-1 triumph over Tranmere Rovers.
Goals from Priestley Farquharson, Daniel Kanu, and Jamille Matt saw the Saddlers earn their first win in five all-competition outings, much to the delight of the gaffer.
Speaking to the assembled media, Sadler, who was marking his 150th game as boss, said: "I thought it was a really solid League Two win.
"We did all of the basics really well. We defended set plays brilliantly. I’m gutted for that last one that took a flick before it went on Flinty’s head.
"We didn’t deserve to concede, but I thought we did ninety-nine point nine percent of all the basics brilliantly, grew into the game, were a threat from set plays, and then had that bit of quality.
"The ball from Alex for Daniel's goal, and then the ball from Aden. I thought that was a really good, professional League Two win, and delighted with that."
