Walsall have been drawn away to League One side Northampton Town in the Vertu Trophy, Round of 16.The Saddlers made their way through the Round of 32 with a welcome win over League One title-chasers Stevenage, as Rico Richards grabbed a second-half brace to secure the win for Mat Sadler's men.
Drawn by former Leicester City captain, Wesley Morgan and former Derby County and Hull City defender Curtis Davies, Round of 16 ties will be played during the week commencing Monday, 12th January 2026. Winning teams will collect £40,000 from the competition prize fund.
