Walsall were back in action on Monday afternoon as they welcomed Oldham Athletic to the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium for both sides' final game of 2025.
Both teams created a couple of early opportunities, but the opening goal of the game went the way of the visitors when Joe Garner got on the end of Ryan Woods' corner to send the ball over the line with fifteen minutes played.
Walsall levelled the scores five minutes into the second-half when Daniel Kanu grabbed his twelfth goal of the campaign, in all competitions, with a powerful effort from an acute angle. Jamille Matt providing the assist.
The Saddlers suffered late heartbreak when Kin Harratt scored in the sixth minutes of second-half stoppage time, meaning the Saddlers ended 2025 in defeat.
