Paul Makavore Makes Walsall First-Team Debut

Paul Makavore made his professional debut on Tuesday evening.

Walsall scholar Paul Makavore became the latest player to make it through the academy and into the professional ranks on Tuesday evening as he made his first-team debut.

Named on the bench as the Saddlers took on Chelsea Under-21s in their final group game of the ongoing Vertu Trophy, Paul was one of a trio of scholars to take to the field as he replaced Rico Browne in the second-half.

Coming on alongside Stan Straw and McLloyd Oben, Makavore was part of the team that, after playing out a goalless draw, went on to win the post-match bonus point penalty shoot-out 4-2.
