Paul Makavore Makes Walsall First-Team Debut

Paul Makavore made his professional debut on Tuesday evening.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall scholar Paul Makavore became the latest player to make it through the academy and into the professional ranks on Tuesday evening as he made his first-team debut.

Named on the bench as the Saddlers took on Chelsea Under-21s in their final group game of the ongoing Vertu Trophy, Paul was one of a trio of scholars to take to the field as he replaced Rico Browne in the second-half.

Coming on alongside Stan Straw and McLloyd Oben, Makavore was part of the team that, after playing out a goalless draw, went on to win the post-match bonus point penalty shoot-out 4-2.

Well done, Paul!
