Matchday: Walsall v Chelsea U21s

The Saddlers return to cup action this evening, as they welcome the Blues to the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium.

Walsall will be back in action this evening as they take on Chelsea Under-21s in their third and final group game of the ongoing Vertu Trophy.

Taking place in Southern Group C, the Saddlers arrive at the game in second place and on three points after defeating Shrewsbury Town and losing to Northampton Town.

Needing at least draw to advance to the next round, the Saddlers are likely to ring the changes with academy prospects Stan Straw, McLloyd Oben, Paul Makavore, and Charlie Wragg likely to be amongst the ranks.

The match is due to get underway at 7.00pm, with team news expected at 5.45pm and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports+.
