23-year-old Williams is currently recovering from an Achilles injury sustained in last season’s Play-Off Final, has made 56 appearances in all competitions during his time at WS1 from Alvechurch.
Following successful surgery, the defender, who had been linked with a move to St. Mirren in the summer, will continue his rehabilitation at the Essington Training Ground, and is pleased to commit his future to the Saddlers.
Speaking via the official website, he said: "I’m really happy to get it sorted now.
"It’s been a difficult time for myself coming to terms with a such a big injury and the uncertainty that comes with it all but now it’s finally sorted I’m delighted and can really focus on coming back stronger knowing I’ve got the backing from the club which I’m hugely thankful for.
"It’s tough seeing the lads training and not being able to join in, but it gives me the extra motivation to work harder each day in the gym, and I’m really looking forward to being back out on the pitch.
"I’m still a long way away, but every day I’m getting closer – I’m three months post-surgery and making really good progress and working extremely hard on myself.
"I’ve got to give a massive thank you to Meldrick Gomes who has made what’s been a difficult four months ten times easier, as well as Chris Skitt and Will Hardman who have been helping me through my rehab.
"From arranging appointments/scans, the surgery itself and checking in on me whilst working with me every day to get me back in the best shape possible, they’ve all played their part and I couldn’t do it without them.
"Being back around the lads and staff has been great for me mentally, too. It can be a tough and lonely place sometimes when going through an injury to this extent, but with the people and characters we have at the club it makes it so much easier, and I can’t thank everyone enough – I just can’t wait to get back out there!"
