Walsall Squeeze Past West Brom U21s in Behind Closed Doors Clash

The Saddlers continued to build fitness ahead of Saturday's meeting with the Robins.

Walsall continued their build towards Saturday's 2025/26 Sky Bet League Two opener against Swindon Town with a behind closed doors clash with local opposition.

Taking on West Bromwich Albion Under-21s at the Saddlers' Essington Training Ground, goals from CJ Clarke, Jamille Matt, and Josh Gordon saw them win by three-goals-to-two.

The Saddlers have enjoyed a strong pre-season campaign with meetings against teams from up and down the pyramid as they look to bounce back from last season's Play-Off Final defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
