22-year-old, Chester-born Burke, who scored a superb sixteen goals from centre-back last season, earned a place in the National League North Team of the Season, as well as picking up the Supporters Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards.
After penning his first professional contract in October 2020, Harrison went on to break into Chester’s first team in January 2022, and went on to make 136 first-team appearances before arriving at the Pallet=Track Bescot Stadium.
Speaking via the club's official website, Burke admitted he's excited to be stepping up to the EFL and was eager to join the Saddlers as soon as he was aware of the club’s interest.
He said: "It’s more of a dream, it’s surreal coming here. As soon as I knew Walsall were interested, it was something that I wanted to get done.
"I’m just happy to get it over the line now and excited to play in front of the fans.
"I have a strong mindset and seeing other people out of Non-League like Jamie Jellis, I played against him when he was at Tamworth, and seeing them thrive in League Two I thought why can’t I do that.
"I spoke to the manager, and he seemed eager that this could happen as well. I’m going to have to put in the work, but I’m fine with that and excited to start.
"I feel like this is where I want to be for my first step in the EFL."
