Walsall were back in action on Saturday afternoon as they visited the Mornflake Stadium and took on Crewe Alexandra, with the Saddlers hoping to make the most of any potential slip-ups elsewhere to secure a place in League One.
Walsall opened the scoring just ahead of the hour mark as Harry Williams' long throw was flicked into the path of George Hall, who was able to turn his man and smash the ball into the back of the net.
