Gillingham v Walsall to Go Ahead Despite Six Saddlers Call-Ups

Walsall will be in action next weekend, despite seeing several players called up.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsThe Club has confirmed that, despite seeing six players called-up for international duty, they will not be looking to have Saturday's meeting with Gillingham postponed.

Adding to the injury absences of Donervon Daniels, Priestley Farquharson, Jack Earing, George Hall, and Josh Gordon, Tommy Simkin, Liam Gordon, Ethan Wheatley, David Okagbue, Ronan Maher and Darius Lipsiuc will all be joining up with their countries this week.

Taking place at the Gills' Priestfield Stadium, the Saddlers will also be without wing-back Connor Barrett as he collected his tenth yellow card of the campaign during the midweek draw with Bromley, meaning the Saddlers' starting XI will have a new look.

Issuing a statement via their social media channels, the club confirmed: "We can also confirm that we will not be requesting to postpone next weekend’s match against Gillingham due to these call ups."
