Ethan Wheatley Scores as England U19s Defeat Wales 2-0

The short-term Saddler was in fine form as England's young Lions overcame Wales on Wednesday evevning.

Walsall's on-loan Manchester United striker Ethan Wheatley was on the scoresheet as England men’s under-19s launched their UEFA U19 EURO qualification programme with a 2-0 victory over Wales.

Joined on the scoresheet by Chelsea forward Shumaira Mheuka, Ethan will be hoping his international exploits will go some way to convincing Saddlers boss Mat Sadler to add him to the team that will take on Gillingham at the weekend.

The young Lions continue their quest to qualify for UEFA U19 EURO against Türkiye at the Deeside Stadium on Saturday morning, with kick-off scheduled for 11.00am.
