Walsall Duo Named in League Two Team of the Week

Two Saddlers players have been recognised for their stellar showings on Sunday.

Walsall defender Taylor Allen and on-loan Stoke City striker Nathan Lowe been named in the Sky Bet League Two Team of the Week following their strong performances against Newport County at the weekend.

19-year-old Lowe netted an Allen-assisted brace as the Saddlers made it a remarkable sixth in on the bounce, ending 2024 with a healthy twelve-point advantage over the next five teams in League Two.

After playing out a goalless first forty-five, Lowe and Allen combined twice to see Walsall stretch their unbeaten run to thirteen league games, all after suffering a 6-2 defeat at home to Fleetwood Town on 1st October.
