He'll soon be making his way to the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsFuture Walsall FC CEO Ben Sadler picked up an award ahead of the prestigious Football Business Awards, which will be held later this month.

Named the Sky Bet League Two CEO of the Year, Sadler, who is entering the final stages of his time with the Shrimps, will be making the move to WS1 later this summer, replacing the departing Stefan Gamble.

Since the awards began in 2012, the best football club CEOs have been recognised and celebrated each year.

After senior contacts from each club were consulted and the votes counted, Sadler was confirmed winner of the prestigious award.

A celebration event will take place on Friday, 24th May in London for all winners to collect their trophies before an overall winner is announced at the end of the ceremony.

The category for overall CEO of the Year is made up of:

Premier League - Billy Hogan, Liverpool FC
Championship - Neil Bausor, Middlesbrough FC
League One - Andrew Cullen, Portsmouth FC
League Two - Ben Sadler, Morecambe FC
SPFL - Andrew McKinlay, Heart of Midlothian FC

Speaking of his win and subsequent nomination for overall CEO of the Year, Sadler said: "This football club is a unique place, absolutely full of colleagues and people that have worked ever so hard to improve it over a number of years, in the face of severe adversity.

"It is testament to the work that everyone has put in that the Club is being recognised externally in a way like never before this season.

"It has been a true pleasure to work with the people I do, and for the town and community we very proudly represent."
