Walsall welcomed Doncaster Rovers to Poundland Bescot Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they looked to open the month of March with a welcome win.
The first goal of the game went the way of the Saddlers as Josh Gordon got on the end of a Liam Gordon cross to head the ball beyond Rovers stopper Thimothee Lo-Tutala and into the back of the net.
Rovers levelled the scores with a header of their own as Kyle Hurst got on the end of a Sterry cross to put his side back on level terms just after the match had reached the half-hour mark.
Walsall went back into the lead just five minutes later as Jack Earing slammed the ball into the back of the net following a scramble in the Rovers area after they'd failed to deal with a Saddlers corner.
The Saddlers added to their lead with ten minutes of normal time remaining as second-half substitute Mo Faal came off the bench to score against his former club, the forward getting on the end of a Taylor Allen corner.
