Walsall were back in action on Saturday afternoon as title-chasing Mansfield Town made their way to Bescot Stadium as both sides looked to take the spoils from a battle between two teams enjoying very different campaigns.
The first goal of the game didn't arrive until the early stages of the second-half as Jamille Matt got on the end of an Isaac Hutchinson cross to place a header into the back of the net.
Sadly for the Saddlers, their lead lasted just three minutes as Stephen Quinn capped off a great attacking drive to dirty Saddlers stopper Jackson Smith's sheet and level the scores.
Walsall put themselves back into the lead twenty minutes into the second-half as Emmanuel Adegboyega, who had replaced the injured Preistley Farquharson at the break, headed home from another Hutchinson cross.
