Walsall Exit EFL Trophy with a Game Still to be Played

The Saddlers have once again failed to make the most of their opportunities and will soon be out of the tournament.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall have crashed out of this season's EFL Trophy, now known as the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, despite not playing all of their group games.

Tuesday evening saw Brighton & Hove Albion Under-21s win a post-match shoot-out against Forest Green Rovers meaning they and FGR sit first and second in the group having amassed six points each.

Walsall, who are due to take on Shrewsbury Town next week, have managed to take just one point from their two previous outings meaning they, and the Shrews will be playing for nothing but pride in less than a week's time.
