A young Walsall XI made their way to the Beeches on Tuesday evening as they looked to make some progress in one of the local cup competitions.

Along with the first team's League Two meeting with Barrow, a Walsall XI was also in action on Tuesday evening as they took on Tividale in the Second Round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.
Naming a young team, along with Rollin Menayese and injury returnee Jack Earing, the Saddlers were tasked with taking something from a well-drilled side packed with experience and nous.
However, in what proved to be a tight and cagy affair, there was just one goal that separated the sides on a chilly evening in the West Midlands.
Arriving nearly twenty-minutes into the second half, Ewan Edwards' goal proved to be enough to secure his side a place in the upcoming Third Round draw.
