NEWS & VIEWS

After securing a well-deserved win over Gillingham at the weekend, Isaac Hutchinson's hat-trick seeing the Saddlers ease to victory 4-1, attention now turns to Friday and a trip to South Wales for an evening meeting with early-season strugglers, Newport County.

Undoubtedly buoyed by last Saturday's comfortable win over the Gills, Friday evening's clash at Rodney Parade presents the Saddlers with an opportunity to increase their advantage over the teams at the bottom and maybe even move into the top half of the table.

That's not to say the Exiles will be a walk-over, we all know the Saddlers are more than capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, but County are in the midst of a terrible vein of form, with Graham Coughlan's side winning just one of their last eight league games.

WALSALL TEAM NEWS

Walsall will be without Aramide Oteh, who recently suffered an injury setback that could see him miss over a month of action.

Jack Earing will also miss out as he continues to work his way back to full fitness.
