Here is our latest look at how the loaned-out Saddlers are getting on.

Walsall goalkeeper George Barrett, midfielder Ronan Maher, and forward Marvellous Onabirekhanlen are currently out on loan as they look to gain experience and maybe force their way into Mat Sadler's first-team plans.

OUT ON LOAN
NAME ON LOAN WITH LOAN ENDS
GEORGE BARRETT PAGET RANGERS 15 OCT 2023
RONAN MAHER RUSHALL OLYMPIC 6 JAN 2024
MARVELLOUS ONABIREKHANLEN CHASETOWN 6 OCT 2023

George Barrett was named in the starting eleven as Paget Rangers took on Shawbury United at Coles Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The game was a narrow affair with just one goal separating the sides but, sadly for George and the Bears, it wasn't them who grabbed the winner the Bears, he was unable to retain his clean sheet as Shawbury's Seth Ellis found the back of the net with a sweetly-taken effort in the first half.

Ronan Maher was among the starters as Rushall Olympic made the trip to The Brewery Field to take on Spennymoor Town in the National League North on Saturday afternoon.

Sadly for Ronan and the rest of the Pics, the trip would prove to be a fruitless one as goals from Will Harris and Glen Taylor, who grabbed a brace, gave their title-chasing opponents a comfortable win.

Ronan didn't complete the game as he was subbed midway through the second-half as Rushall boss Liam McDonald looked to change the pattern of the game.

Marvellous Onabirekhanlen was a second-half substitute as Chasetown visited the Halton Stadium where they would take on Widnes in the Northern Premier League.

The match was another close-run affair with just one goal separating the sides, but, unfortunately for the Scholars, it went the way of the hosts as James Steele arrowed home in the first half.

Marvellous came on for Alex Melbourne in the second half but was unable to have much of an impact as Chasetown slipped to a narrow defeat.
