Walsall goalkeeper George Barrett, midfielder Ronan Maher and forward Marvellous Onabirekhanlen are currently out on loan as they look to gain experience and maybe force their way into Mat Sadler's first-team plans.

GEORGE BARRETT DUDLEY TOWN NOV 2023
RONAN MAHER RUSHALL OLYMPIC 6 JAN 2024
MARVELLOUS ONABIREKHANLEN CHASETOWN 6 NOV 2023

Ronan Maher continued his superb spell of form as Rushall Olympic made the trip to Buxton in the National League North on Saturday afternoon.

After a string of superb displays, Ronan was once again the centre of attention as, especially in the second-half, gave the Buxton defence plenty of headaches, even seeing a late effort slam off the post,

The match itself ended all-square as the Pics were twice pegged back as Danny Waldron and Mitch Clarke both saw efforts cancelled out as the spoils were shared at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium.

Marvellous Onabirekhanlen was also among the starters as Chasetown defeated Trafford at Shawe View on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Jack Langston, who now tops the Northern Premier League Division 1 West scoring charts, and Oli Hayward were enough to see the Scholars home to victory, this despite Eddie Servuts' initial equaliser.

Marv, who was replaced by Max Dixon in the second-half, thought he had helped the Scholars to double their lead in the second half as Jordan Evans’ free kick was pushed back into the path of the first-year pro who prodded the ball goalwards with his effort flicking off Ben Lund, who was adjudged offside by the officials.
