Walsall midfielder Ronan Maher is currently out on loan as he looks to gain more experience and maybe force his way into Mat Sadler's first-team plans.

Ronan Maher was a late second-half substitute as Rushall Olympic made their way to the RDS Stadium and took on Bishop's Stortford in the National League North on Tuesday evening.

Looking to build upon last weekend's 1-0 win over Peterborough Sports, the Pics fell behind to Ryan Charles's goal with less than ten minutes on the clock but didn't let that get them down as they went on to comfortably secure three more points.

Leveling the scores via Kai Sanches-Tonge in the first-half, Liam McDonald's side went on to score three more goals with Jourdain Masidi netting before Danny Waldron's brace to take a deserved victory.

Waldron's second goal came from the spot after Ronan Maher, who had replaced Kai Sanchez-Tonge just minutes earlier, forced one of the home defenders into a late lunge, resulting in the spot kick.
