Liam Gordon Starts as Guyana Begin with a Win

The left-back was in action on Saturday as he took part in the Nations League.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall defender Liam Gordon started as Guyana took on Antigua & Barbuda in their first group game of the CONCACAF Nations League on Saturday afternoon.

Taking place at the ABFA Technical Center in Piggots, the match, which was the first game in Group D of League B, was a high-scoring affair with Liam's team netting five goals to take their place at the top of the group.

Omari Glasgow's hat-trick, coupled with a Kelsey Benjamin brace were more than enough to see Raheem Deterville's goal on the stroke of half-time prove to be nothing more than a consolation.

Liam will remain on international duty as the Golden Jaguars are set to take on the Bahamas on Tuesday in their second group game.
