Walsall defenders Joe Foulkes and Peter Clarke, midfielder Sam Perry, and striker Timmy Abraham are currently out on loan as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

OUT ON LOAN
NAME ON LOAN WITH LOAN ENDS
JOE FOULKES KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS 31 MAY 2023
PETER CLARKE OLDHAM ATHLETIC 31 MAY 2023
SAM PERRY LEAMINGTON 31 MAY 2023
TIMMY ABRAHAM OLDHAM ATHLETIC 31 MAY 2023

Peter Clarke and Timmy Abraham were named on the bench as Oldham Athletic played host to Gateshead at Boundary Park on Tuesday evening.

Despite a goalless first forty-five, the match ultimately became something of a goal fest as after John Rooney (50') and Alex Reid (64') had put David Unsworth's Latics into a two-goal lead, the Tynesiders grabbed two of their own via Kamil Conteh (81') and Kenton Richardson (83') to level the scores.

Clarke was made to watch the whole game from the sidelines with Abraham joining the action with sixteen-minutes of normal time remaining - the former Fulham man replacing ex-Saddlers scholar Reid.

Sam Perry was a second-half substitute as Leamington lost one-nil at home to Buxton with Diego De Girolamo's first-half effort, which saw the former Sheffield United man take advantage of a sloppy back pass, proving to be enough to separate the sides.

Perry, who replaced Ben Usher-Shipway after sixty-one minutes was unable to help his side take a share of the spoils, though probably should have been awarded something after appearing to be strangled in the area as the second-half ticked away.

Joe Foulkes retained his starting spot as Kidderminster Harriers played host to Brackley Town at a chilly Aggborough.

Sadly for Joe and his Harriers, they were unable to secure a welcome home win as goals from Sam Smart (11') and Callum Stead (90+1') were enough to cancel out Amari Morgan-Smith's fifty-eighth-minute leveller as the visitors took all three points.
