Walsall defenders Joe Foulkes and Peter Clarke, midfielder Sam Perry, and striker Timmy Abraham are currently out on loan as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

OUT ON LOAN
NAME ON LOAN WITH LOAN ENDS
JOE FOULKES KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS 31 MAY 2023
PETER CLARKE OLDHAM ATHLETIC 31 MAY 2023
SAM PERRY LEAMINGTON 31 MAY 2023
TIMMY ABRAHAM OLDHAM ATHLETIC 31 MAY 2023

Peter Clarke and Timmy Abraham had to make do with a seat on the bench as David Unsworth's Oldham Athletic slipped to a narrow one-nil defeat to FC Halifax Town at Boundary Park on Saturday afternoon.

The only goal of the game arrived midway through the second-half as Emmanuel Dieseruvwe put the ball beyond Magnus Norman in the Latics goal, though that wasn't the only drama as Mike Fondop-Talum, who had scored four goals in his last three games, was sent off in the opening half for an off the ball incident.

Abraham was introduced into the action shortly before Halifax scored, the striker replacing Ben Tollitt, but was unable to affect the score as his side slipped to a narrow, though painful, defeat.

Sam Perry's Leamington debut took place off the bench as he was among the substitutes for the Brakes' National League North clash with Blyth Spartans at the New Windmill Ground.

Sadly for Sam, who took to the field in place of Northampton Town loanee Liam Cross at half-time, he also suffered a defeat as debutant Sam Hodgson, who recently arrived on a one-month loan from South Shields, bagged the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time.

Meanwhile, Joe Foulkes wasn't involved as Jake Charles' 81st-minute goal proved to be enough to see Scarborough Athletic home to victory against Kidderminster Harriers at Aggborough.
