Youth Alliance: Shrewsbury Town 0 Walsall 2

The young Saddlers returned to Youth Alliance action on Saturday morning.
Walsall Under-18s returned to action on Saturday morning as they travelled across the border to take on Shrewsbury Town in their latest EFL Youth Alliance - North West outing of the season.

After winning just one of their thirteen Youth Alliance games, the young Saddlers arrived at the match at the foot of the table, some eight points below the team above them.

Opponents Shrewsbury Town are having a much better campaign, and sat in sixth place ahead of kick-off, with the young Shrews enjoying a couple of games in hand over their league rivals.

However, in a result which will offer plenty of confidence to Walsall as they look to close in on the teams above them and finish the final few months of the season in good form, goals from Arjun Toor and defender Tom Cox were enough to secure a welcome win for the Saddlers.
