The Club has confirmed that midfielder Jack Earing has suffered a serious knee injury, with the 22-year-old expected to miss the next several months as he begins on the road to recovery.

As reported earlier, Earing suffered an injury during a recent training session, with the former FC Halifax Town man forced to sit out the Saddlers' recent Emirates FA Cup - Third Round triumph over Stockport County.

The Club had previously confirmed that Jack was to undergo scans and has now issued a further update, revealing he will be out for the long-term as he looks to recover from this latest setback.

In a brief statement, issued via the club's social accounts, they confirm; "The Saddlers can confirm that midfielder [Jack Earing] has sustained a long-term injury and will be out for the foreseeable future. We're all with you Jack on the road to recovery."
