The Club has issued a statement confirming it has failed in a bid to have Saturday's Sky Bet League Two meeting between the Saddlers and Salford City moved to an earlier kick-off time.

Released via their official website, Saddlers.co.uk, it has been confirmed that, following England's progression to the Quarter Finals of the 2023 FIFA World Cup, officials from both clubs had held discussions but the Ammies opted to retain the already scheduled kick-off time.

The statement reads; We would like to inform supporters that our Sky Bet League Two clash with Salford City on Saturday 10th December will remain a 3pm kick-off.

With England’s participation in the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Saturday evening, we held discussions with Salford to request an earlier kick-off time.

However, the hosts have opted to keep the kick-off time at 3pm and we respect their decision as the home club.
