Walsall defenders Rollin Menayese and Peter Clarke, midfielders Sam Perry and Brendan Kiernan, strikers Timmy Abraham and Shay Willock, and scholars Dan Baldwin and Marvellous Onabirekhanlen are currently out on loan as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

Menayese and Kiernan remained in League Two with season-long stays at Hartlepool United and Grimsby Town respectively, whilst Perry joined National League outfit Yeovil Town.

Abraham and Clarke recently joined Oldham Athletic, whilst second-year scholar Willock is on a short-term work experience loan with Hellenic League Premier Division side Worcester Raiders, as well as forming part of the Saddlers' youth team.

And finally, second-year scholars Baldwin and Onabirekhanlen recently joined Worcester City on initial one-month work experience loans.

In what was something of a quiet midweek, Shay Willock was the only Saddler to be named on a team sheet as he was on the bench for Worcester Raiders Worcester Senior Challenge Cup clash with Stourport Swifts on Wednesday evening.

Sadly, for the Raiders, they were unable to advance to the next round of the competition as goals from Lee Chilton and Ben Tilbury secured victory for the Swifts, who became the first team to defeat Worcester at Sixfields so far this season.

Shay had to wait until the 77th minute before taking to the field as he was part of a triple substitution as the Raiders manager attempted to get his side back into the contest, however, that wasn't to be as Stourport stood firm to take the win.
