Walsall defender Rollin Menayese and midfielders Sam Perry and Brendan Kiernan and young striker Shay Willock are currently away on loan as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

Seasoned pro's Menayese and Kiernan remained in League Two with season-long stays at Hartlepool United and Grimsby Town respectively.

Whilst Sam Perry is with National League outfit Yeovil Town and second-year scholar Willock is on work experience with Hellenic League Premier Division side Worcester Raiders.

Rollin Menayese retained his place in the starting XI, and played for the full ninety minutes, as Hartlepool secured three much-needed points against Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Josh Umerah and former Saddler Wes McDonald, who netted four-minutes before full-time, were enough to cancel out Bobby Faulkner's 67th minute equaliser and secure their first win of the 2022/23 League Two campaign.

Sam Perry returned to the matchday squad as Yeovil Town and Dorking Wanderers played out a one-all draw at Meadowbank.

Perry, who has missed the last few games through injury, eventually took the place of Lawson D'Ath during the second half, and will no doubt be looking for more match minutes over the coming days and weeks.

The match saw the spoils shared as Sam Person's fourth-minute opener was cancelled out by Dorking's James Andrew Muitt eight minutes into the second forty-five.

Shay Willock was named on the bench as Worcester Raiders took on Hereford Pagasus at Old School Lane.

Unfortunately for Worcester, their recent unbeaten run was brought to an end as Pegasus grabbed a late goal to snatch the win by three-goals-to-two.

The Raiders' goals were scored by Isaac Cooper and Richard Smith, with the side doing well to get themselves back on level terms before suffering late heartbreak.
