Walsall defender Rollin Menayese, midfielders Sam Perry and Brendan Kiernan, and young striker Shay Willock are currently out on loan as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

Rollin Menayese and Brendan Kiernan remained in League Two with season-long stays at Hartlepool United and Grimsby Town respectively, whilst Sam Perry joined National League outfit Yeovil Town.

Second-year scholar Shay Willock is on a short-term work experience loan with Hellenic League Premier Division side Worcester Raiders, as well as forming part of the Saddlers' youth team.

There wasn't much in the way of action on Saturday afternoon as only Brendan Kiernan took to the field with the attacking midfielder being named in the starting XI as Grimsby welcomed Bradford City to town for a League Two meeting.

Brendan, who has now made some sixteen first-team appearances for the Mariners, was unable to guide his team to victory as, despite both sides creating some twenty-six shots, there were no goals with the points shared.

Kiernan was replaced at the break with former Walsall loanee Bryn Morris as his side went in search of a potentially match-winning goal, though their search would prove fruitless as a point was secured by each side.

Sam Perry was the only other loaned-out Saddler to see his name on the squad list on Saturday, though he didn't take to the field as he watched from the bench as his Yeovil side slipped to a two-nil defeat away to Oldham Athletic.

Goals from Oscar Threlkeld and Mike Fondop proved to be enough to secure the points for the Latics, giving the Glovers a long pointless trip back home.
