Walsall midfielder Ronan Maher, not pictured, has continued his season of progression as he was a second-half substitute during Ireland Under-19s UEFA European Under-19 Championship Qualifier against Gibraltar.

Maher, who penned his first professional contract over the summer, has made nine first-team appearances so far this season as he continues to make his way in the game.

Coming on for Celtic prospect Rocco Vata shortly after the game had reached the hour mark, Ronan was able to play a part in a comfortable win as Tom Mohan's side won by six-goals-to-nil.

Though his side were already three goals to the good before he took to the field, Ronan provided the assist for Crystal Palace defender Sean Grehan's injury-time goal, a goal which completed a six-nil rout.

Congratulations, Ronan!
