Player of the Month: Danny Johnson Nominated for PFA Fans' Award

The striker has been in fine form since making the temporary switch to WS1.

Walsall's on-loan Mansfield Town striker Danny Johnson has been named among the nominees for the PFA Vertu Motors Fans' Player of the Month award for August.

Johnson has scored seven goals so far this season, six in the league - including a debut hat-trick against Hartlepool United in late July - adding to his impressive start to life at Poundland Bescot Stadium.

Danny has been nominated alongside the likes of Brandon Thomas-Asante (Salford City, now of West Bromwich Albion), Sam Hoskins (Northampton Town), Omar Bogle (Newport County), former Saddler Josh Gordon (Barrow), and Charlie Kelman (Leyton Orient).
