The EFL has confirmed that Walsall will be joined by Cheltenham Town and Milton Keynes Dons in Southern Group C for the group stage of next season's Papa John's Trophy.
The Saddlers, Robins and Dons will also be joined by one of eight invited clubs from the Premier League with the first match scheduled for the week commencing Monday, 29th August 2022, although all dates are subject to change.
The draw for the competition will take place on Fixture Release Day, Thursday, 23rd June.
