With the presentation taking place ahead of the Saddlers' season-ending League Two meeting with Swindon Town, we now know who has taken home the 2021/22 Player and Young Player of the Season awards.

Despite a difficult campaign, which saw the Reds suffer draws, defeats, a managerial departure, and a whole plethora of injuries, Saddlers fans voted in their hundreds to decide who could hold their head up high.

Announced on the pitch at the soon-to-be Poundland Bescot Stadium, we found out that Liam Kinsella has picked up this season's Player of the Season Award, whilst on-loan Brighton stopper Carl Rushworth was deservedly named Young Player of the Season.

Liam received some 77% of the votes for Player of the Season with Jack Earing picking up 6% in second whilst Manny Monthé was third with 4%.

Carl drew 72% of the votes cast for Young Player of the Season, with Sam Perry coming second on 16% as Leicester City winger Tyrese Shade had to settle for third with 6%.
