The event, which was due to take place this coming Sunday evening, will no longer take place with a separate award giving to take place following the Saddlers' final game of the season against Swindon Town.

In a statement, released via the club's official website, they confirm that, after careful consideration, it is with regret that they have taken the decision to cancel the End of Season Awards Dinner, which was scheduled to take place at Bescot Stadium on Sunday, 1st May.

With the Early Bird Season Ticket campaign in its final week, club officials are conscious not to burden supporters with an additional expense many could do without in the current climate.

They will instead be hosting a presentation after our final match of the season against Swindon Town on Saturday, 7th May.

The event will be held in the Bonser Suite and will begin at 5.45pm and Michael Flynn and his team will all be in attendance.

Executive Box Holders, 1888 Lounge, Savoy Lounge members, and those with hospitality on the day will have access to the Bonser Suite for the presentation.

The Club will also be opening the Stadium Suite where the main award winners and Head Coach Michael Flynn will then be interviewed in the Stadium Suite after the awards have taken place.

The awards that will be presented are as follows:

- Supporters Player of the Season
- Players’ Player of the Season
- Young Player of the Season
- Goal of the Season
- Apprentice of the Season
- Community Player of the Season
- Fan of the Season
- Long Service Awards

Supporters who have already purchased tickets for the awards dinner will have their money automatically refunded.

Club officials also wish to apologise for any inconvenience the cancellation has caused.
