PRE-MATCH VIEWS
Unbeaten in their last six outings, this weekend Michael Flynn's Saddlers will make the trip to Greater Manchester where they are due to face Salford City with a view to keeping their strong spell alive.

The Saddlers arrive at the match on the back of a one-all draw with Harrogate Town, a match which saw striker Conor Wilkinson grab his tenth goal of the season before Harrogate's on-loan Middlesbrough forward Calum Kavanagh broke Walsall hearts in second-half stoppage time.

Opponents Salford reach the match on the back of a convincing victory over bottom-of-the-table Scunthorpe United - Brandon Thomas-Asante netting a hat-trick as his side won by five goals to one - a result that brought a three-game drawing streak to an end.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Saddlers and Ammies have only met on five previous occasions, and it's Salford who hold an overall head-to-head lead, having won three times compared to Walsall's two.

The first meeting took place at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 5th October 2019, and saw the visitors ease to victory by three-goal-to-nil as Luke Armstrong, Jake Jervis, and Ibou Touray all hit the back of the net.

MATCH OFFICIALS
The EFL has confirmed that Anthony Backhouse, who is based in Cumbria, will be the man in the middle, whilst Danny Gratton and Anthony Da Costa have been named assistant referees. Richard Wigglesworth will act as Fourth Official.
