Young Saddler Jack Shaw has been named among the Wales Under-17s 20-man squad as they head to Slovenia for the 2022 UEFA #U17EURO Elite Round later this month.
Wales will face the Turkey, Serbia and the hosts Slovenia in the three-game mini tournament. The majority of the squad were involved in November’s qualifying round, where they progressed out of a group featuring Portugal, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The U17s, who are managed by Rich Williams, also progressed to the Elite Round in the last iteration of the tournament back in 2020, which was cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The eight elite round group winners and seven runners-up with the best records against the first and third-placed teams of their respective group will join Israel in the final tournament.
