Following the news that he'd become the eighth man to make the switch to the Saddlers, experienced defender Stephen Ward has spoken of his excitement as he begins a new chapter in his career.
The 35-year-old left-sided defender, who left League One's Ipswich Town at the end of last season, has penned a one-year deal and is keen to work with former playing colleague Matthew Taylor.
Ward, a former Republic of Ireland international, has made over 540 club appearances during an 18-year career and is hoping to bring his wealth of experience to the Saddlers during the 2021/22 campaign.
Speaking via the club's official website, Stephen, who has been training with the squad for the last few days, said; "It’s exciting.
