League Two's 2021/22 Line-Up is Complete

We now know all of the Saddlers' League Two opposition for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign.
EFL League Two table is complete.
Following the conclusion of both the League Two and National League Play-Offs we now know which teams the Saddlers will be taking on during the 2021/22 campaign.

After finishing in a worst-ever position of 19th in the fourth tier last season, the Saddlers will be hoping to enjoy a much more successful campaign as they welcome new Head Coach Matt Taylor to the Black Country.

Taylor, who joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Brian Dutton at the end of last season, will have his work cut out if he is to reverse the team's fortunes as, after spending more than a decade in League One, the team has struggled to settle since suffering relegation in 2018/19.

After failing to achieve promotion either automatically or via the Play-Offs, the Saddlers will once again be taking on Barrow, Bradford City, Carlisle United, Colchester United, Crawley Town, Exeter City, Forest Green Rovers, Harrogate Town, Leyton Orient, Mansfield Town, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Salford City, Scunthorpe United, Stevenage, Tranmere Rovers, and Play-Off Final losers Newport County in next season.

The four teams that suffered relegation from League One, Rochdale, Northampton Town, Swindon Town, and Bristol Rovers, will replace last season's champions Cheltenham Town, along with Cambridge United, Bolton Wanderers, and Play-Off winners Morecambe in making the trip to the Banks's at some point next season.

Coming up from the National League are champions Sutton United, a team which the Saddlers have never faced in a competitive clash, and Hartlepool United, who defeated Torquay United in Sunday afternoon's Play-Off final, which was decided by penalties at Bristol City's Ashton Gate.

Meanwhile, the Saddlers' pre-season preparations are in full swing following the announcement of several friendlies and the arrival of four new faces. With several positions yet to be addressed, fans are in for a busy few weeks before the season gets underway in August.
