Pre-Match News & Views

The Saddlers arrive at the match with their place in the fourth tier confirmed for at least another year. A two-nil triumph over Scunthorpe United was enough to take the pressure off and possibly allow the manager to rotate his team.

With several members of the club's academy champing at the bit to play a part, the gaffer may seek to look at some of his options ahead of the summer break, especially as the majority of the current crop are due to be out of contract in the summer.

One player who will be assured of his place in the side is Emmanuel Osadebe who has come on leaps and bounds over the last few weeks, netting twice in his last five games and stepping into the space left by the unfortunate Rory Holden.

Looking ahead to the meeting with Morecambe and this will be just the fifth meeting between the sides as the visitors have spent much of their history either in the lower leagues or a division below the Saddlers.

The Shrimps sit fourth in the table ahead of kick-off and will need to secure victory if they are to keep their chances of securing automatic promotion alive - although they will also need to keep an eye on the teams below them as their place in the Play-Offs is not yet confirmed.

Man in the Middle

The EFL has confirmed that Lee Swabey, who is based in Devon, will be the man in the middle, whilst Daniel Flynn and Paul Stonier have been named assistant referees. John Flynn will act as Fourth Official.
