Sky Bet Championship side Luton Town have confirmed the signing of Walsall striker Elijah Adebayo, with the Saddlers' top scorer joining the Hatters for an undisclosed fee.
Eli scored eight times and made twenty-seven first-team appearances before his departure, battling his way to become Darrell Clarke's first choice striker, entering some superb performances along the way.
The 23-year-old, 6’4” frontman joined Fulham at Under-9 level and gained his first taste of men’s football on loan at Slough in 2016, scoring a hat-trick on his debut.
A temporary stint at Bognor Regis yielded five goals in seven outings and was followed by a six-month loan at Cheltenham, where he scored twice in seven matches.
He spent the first half of 2018/19 season with Swindon Town, notching five goals in thirty appearances, before finishing the campaign at Stevenage ahead of his summer 2019 switch to the Saddlers.
We would like to thank Eli for his efforts during his time in WS1, and wish him all the best as he begins a new chapter in his professional career.
