Walsall midfielder Alfie Bates has become the latest to pen fresh terms with the club, agreeing a deal until at least the summer of 2023.
Speaking via the club's official website, Alfie said; "I’m delighted to sign a new deal. Walsall is where I want to be and Walsall is where I want to play my football.
Alfie, a former apprentice at Birmingham City, joined the club in 2015 and has gone on to make forty-six first-team appearances since making his debut against Middlesbrough Under-21s in October 2018
The midfielder, who has made twenty-three appearances so far this season, admitted he is pleased to commit his future to the club and is excited for the journey that lies ahead.
"It’s been an up and down season for us and the fans but I’m looking forward to going into the second half of the season strongly.
"My ambitions and the club’s ambitions are the same. We want to get promotion and get as many wins under our belt and keep pushing on and pushing the club forward."
