Clarke had seen his team's unbeaten run - which included four wins in as many games - come to an end as goals from James Wilson and Luke Burgess secured a two-nil win for the home side.
Speaking to the assembled media, Mansfield-born Clarke admitted he was disappointed to see his team fall to their first defeat of December, especially as they had been able to bounce back from going behind in previous games.
