Youth Alliance Cup: Walsall to Face Mansfield Town Later This Morning

Walsall's young guns will be in EFL Youth Alliance Cup action later today.
Miguel Llera's young Saddlers have been in fine form so far this season and remain atop the EFL Youth Alliance (North West) table despite last weekend's narrow defeat to Accrington Stanley.

Winning four of their six Alliance outings, the Saddlers turn their attention to the Youth Alliance Cup and will take on Mansfield Town Under-18s in their opening game in Group three, where the Saddlers and Stags are joined by Burton Albion.

Opponents Mansfield, who's first-team will be playing host to Darrell Clarke's Walsall's at Field Mill this afternoon, have already played an Alliance Cup match as they suffered a two-nil defeat to group leaders Burton.

Today's match will take place at Ray Hall Lane in Great Barr and is due to get underway at 11.00am. Join us across social media where we'll bring you news of the result later this afternoon.
