New Recruit Hayden White is Keen to Make His Mark

Walsall's latest new recruit has welcomed the chance to sign for the Saddlers!
Following the news that he'd become the Saddlers' fifth signing of the summer, former Mansfield Town defender Hayden White has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the opportunity to join the club.

A product of the Sheffield Wednesday youth system, Hayden made his professional debut for Bolton Wanderers in 2013 and went on to play five times in the Championship.

Greenwich-born White gained experience on loan at Carlisle United, Bury, Notts County and Blackpool before moving to Peterborough United on a permanent deal in 2016.

The 25-year-old right-back soon joined Mansfield and went on to make eighty-six appearances for the Stags, helping them reach the League Two play-off Semi-Finals in 2019.

Speaking via the club's official website, Hayden said; "I’m delighted to be able come here and show what I can do. I like to defend, keep clean sheets and I’m here to do that.

"I’ve had a few conversations with the manager about where he thinks I can get to and how I can help the team and everything he said has been really positive so I’m happy to be here."
