EFL Statement: Wednesday, 3rd June 2020

As we continue to await a final vote on if, how and when the Saddlers' 2019/20 League Two campaign will end, the EFL has released a statement confirming said vote will take place next week.
Walsall are among a whle host of clubs which have already confirmed their desire to curtail the League Two season with an un-weighted points-per-game (PPG) system being used to decide the final positions ahead of Play-Offs and relegation taking place.

Released via their official website, the EFL confirmed that the board met today and considered a number of proposals submitted by EFL Clubs in respect of proposed amendments to EFL Regulations in order to determine what will happen in the event the 2019/20 season is curtailed in any EFL Division.

This now brings an end to a comprehensive consultation phase and Clubs have today received formal notice of the meeting which will now take place on Tuesday, 9th June 2020.

At that meeting Clubs will consider a number of different proposals from both Clubs and the Board of the EFL.
