Give Litter the Boot and Earn a Ticket to See Walsall v Plymouth Argyle

Walsall Council have joined with Walsall Football Club to give litter the boot as part of Keep Britain Tidies Great British Spring Clean that is aiming to get half a million people out and about cleaning up their local communities.
A litter picking event is being held on Friday, 10th April, Good Friday and people that participate will receive a match ticket for Walsall FC’s League Two clash with Plymouth Argyle on the same day.

Last year, over 563,163 volunteers joined forces at over 17,000 events across the UK to take a stand against litter as part of the Great British Spring Clean.

The campaign encourages volunteers, community groups, schools and businesses to help improve the environment through targeting litter and particularly plastic waste.

Anyone wanting to help Walsall be a cleaner and greener place in which to live, work and enjoy is encouraged to contact the Clean and Green, who can help by providing litter pickers, gloves and bags to use on the day. Events will also be shared on social media, so individuals can join a litter pick near them.

The litter pick will be meeting at the entrance to Morrisons, Wallows Lane, Walsall, WS2 9BZ at 1:00pm where participants will walk to the ground whilst litter picking. Participants will be given their match ticket on arrival at the ground by the event organiser.

People participating will be allowed to park on Morrisons car park and will be given a car parking pass by the event organiser.

Please note that a ticket is required for each person that is participating in the litter pick with their own name.
